Privacy & GDPR information
This notice explains how Satoshi’s Corner handles personal information when you visit the website, use BattleBuds, create an account, play online, make a purchase or contact us.
Last updated: 18 July 2026
1. Who is responsible for your information?
Satoshi’s Corner operates the website and BattleBuds and is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. Privacy enquiries and requests can be submitted through the contact options on the main Satoshi’s Corner website.
2. Scope and age requirement
This notice applies when you visit Satoshi’s Corner, access BattleBuds, create an account, build a collection or deck, play a match, make a purchase, use support or otherwise interact with the service.
BattleBuds is intended only for people aged 18 or over, or any higher minimum age required where they live. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts or knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a person below the applicable age has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
The age gate stores your confirmation on your device. It does not verify your identity, collect an identity document or confirm that your statement is accurate.

Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details or sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for your request.
4. Where information comes from
We obtain information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, from gameplay and account activity, and from providers that help us operate authentication, hosting, databases, multiplayer features, payments, security and website statistics.
If you interact with another player, limited gameplay information such as a username, deck activity, match actions, result or ranking may be visible to that player or reflected in shared game features.
5. How and why we use information
| Purpose | Typical UK GDPR lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Create and manage accounts, collections, decks, saved progress, online matches and purchased content | Performance of a contract or steps taken at your request. |
| Authenticate users and maintain account sessions | Performance of a contract and legitimate interests in operating the service securely. |
| Process purchases, fulfil digital items, issue refunds and maintain transaction records | Performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations. |
| Operate matchmaking, rankings and other multiplayer features | Performance of a contract and legitimate interests in providing a fair game. |
| Detect cheating, automated abuse, fraud, account compromise, harmful conduct and breaches of our rules | Legitimate interests in protecting players, the service and our business; legal obligation where applicable. |
| Investigate technical faults, balance gameplay, improve features and create aggregated or de-identified statistics | Legitimate interests in maintaining and improving the service. |
| Respond to support, complaints and privacy requests | Contract, legitimate interests or legal obligation depending on the request. |
| Measure website usage using non-essential statistics technologies | Consent. You can reject or withdraw consent. |
| Remember essential choices including age confirmation and cookie preference | Necessary to provide the requested service and legitimate interests in operating it correctly. |
| Meet accounting, tax, regulatory, legal-claim and dispute-resolution requirements | Legal obligation and legitimate interests. |
We do not use BattleBuds information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We may use automated signals to identify suspected cheating, fraud or security risks, but material enforcement decisions may be reviewed.
6. Cookies and browser storage
Essential technologies
Essential storage supports age confirmation, account sessions, security, game settings and your cookie choice. Disabling it may prevent parts of the game from working.
Statistics technologies
Statistics cookies and similar technologies help us understand visits, performance and use of the site. Where consent is required, they are activated only after you select “Accept statistics”. Selecting “Reject statistics” does not prevent access to the game.
Changing your choice
Use the Cookie preferences control in the game footer to reopen the consent window. You may also clear site data in your browser, although this may sign you out and reset your age confirmation.
Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted consistently across the web. We therefore rely on the cookie-preference controls described above.
7. Sharing and disclosures
We disclose information only where reasonably necessary:
- to providers supporting website hosting, databases, authentication, multiplayer functions, statistics, security, customer support and payment processing;
- to other players where required for matches, rankings or other shared game features;
- to professional advisers, insurers, auditors or authorities where needed to comply with law, protect rights, investigate fraud or resolve disputes; and
- in connection with a merger, financing, reorganisation, sale or transfer of all or part of the service, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Providers may act as processors under our instructions or as independent controllers for parts of their service, such as regulated payment processing.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising or use BattleBuds account data to build advertising profiles.
The service may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this one.
8. International data transfers
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom or your country of residence. Where data-protection law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as adequacy regulations, approved contractual clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms. You may contact us for further information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
9. How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, including:
- account, collection and gameplay data while the account is active and for a limited period afterwards for recovery, security, fraud prevention and dispute handling;
- match and moderation records for as long as reasonably needed to maintain rankings, investigate conduct and protect game integrity;
- transaction, tax and accounting records for the period required by applicable law;
- security and technical logs for a proportionate period needed to detect and investigate incidents;
- support correspondence until the matter is resolved and for a reasonable follow-up period; and
- cookie and browser-storage records until they expire, are replaced or are cleared.
We may keep information longer where required for legal obligations, fraud prevention, safety or legal claims. We may also aggregate or de-identify information so that it no longer identifies you.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and the circumstances, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection regulator.
Residents of certain US states may also have rights to know, correct or delete personal information and to opt out of certain sales, sharing or targeted advertising. We do not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, but eligible requests may still be submitted through our contact options.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorised agents may be required to provide evidence of authority. Legal exceptions may apply, including where records must be kept for tax, security, fraud prevention or legal claims. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
11. Security and account responsibilities
We use technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, database permissions, encrypted network connections, authentication controls and payment-signature verification. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Use a strong, unique password, protect access to your email and device, and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
12. Contact, complaints and policy updates
To ask a privacy question or exercise a right, contact Satoshi’s Corner through the contact options on the main website. Include enough information to identify the relevant account and request, but never send a password or full payment-card details.
UK users may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Users elsewhere may contact their local privacy or data-protection authority. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.
We may revise this notice when the service, its providers or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes may also be highlighted in the game or on the website.
